Cube San Serif

There are 7000 written languages ​​in the world, which use 46 different alphabetical systems. Each font is in fact a secret script, a riddle, a cipher – and utter gibberish for anyone who does not know the language in which it is written. A communications bug converted my Google’s font display and created a new system of signs, strange, hidden, cubist letters. The bug created a new font, a secret code, that allows “a safe entry” into my intimate world, where everything is visible but actually hidden. This unique display actually created cubist letters. Eventually, with the help of typographer Abraham Conffeld, I turned this new system into a living, typeable font.

בעולם היום קיימות 7000 שפות שנכתבות באמצעות 46 מערכות אלפבתיות שונות. כל פונט הוא למעשה כתב סתרים, חידה, צופן, ג׳יבריש לכל מי שאינו מכיר את אותה שפה. באג תקשורת המיר את תצוגת הפונטים של תיבת המייל שלי ויצר מערכת חדשה של סימנים, אותיות מוזרות, נסתרות, קוביסטיות. פונט חדש, קוד סודי, שמאפשר כניסה, הצצה וחדירה בטוחה לתוך העולם האינטימי שלי, כשהכל גלוי אבל בעצם נסתר. כטכנופוב, שרק מנסה להרתע מטכנולוגיות מתוחכמות, שיבושים וטעויות מפחידים אותי ומרתקים אותי באותה מידה. תצוגת פונטים שהשתבשה, יצרה למעשה מערכת חדשה של סימנים, אותיות מוזרות, נסתרות, קוביסטיות. כמו כל פונט, שהוא כתב סתרים, חידה, צופן, ג׳יבריש לכל מי שאינו מכיר את אותה שפה. לימים, בעזרתו של הטיפוגרף אברהם קונפלד, הפכתי את הכתב הזה לגופן חי, הניתן להקלדה.
